The primary objective for My Stay Melbourne is to drive direct bookings and secure return stays while mitigating the impact of higher commission charges from third party platforms.

To achieve this, we executed a comprehensive strategy. A central pillar of the direct booking approach involves creating a dedicated website that seamlessly integrates with a user-friendly booking system. This online platform not only enhances the guest experience but also simplifies the process for direct bookings.

A pivotal element in the strategy is the offering of an exclusive discount system to guests. This intentionally designed to empower guests to save money by choosing direct bookings with My Stay Melbourne. Importantly, this approach allows guests to circumvent the significant commission charges associated with third-party booking platforms, while establishing partnerships with industry leaders such as Red Balloon and Viator. This collaboration enriches the overall guest experience by seamlessly connecting them with local activities while also creating an additional revenue stream.

Collaborating with Grant, the Director of My Stay Melbourne, I undertook a creative endeavour to shape not just a brandmark but an entire identity that captures the essence of the Melbourne scene. The resulting logo ingeniously combines two iconic elements—the Melbourne tram and travel luggage. This instantly communicates the unparalleled experience of traveling and staying in Melbourne. The inclusion of the iconic tram, a symbol synonymous with the city's identity and public transportation, harmonises seamlessly with travel luggage, capturing the spirit of mobility, convenience, and exploration that defines Melbourne.

The choice of the brand name, My Stay Melbourne is not just a linguistic decision but a strategic one for optimal search engine optimisation (SEO). This ensures that the brand is easily discoverable by potential travellers, contributing to its accessibility and appeal. Moreover, the carefully selected colour scheme, featuring shades of pink and purple, pays homage to the colourful sunsets that Melbourne is renowned for. This infusion of vibrant hues not only adds a visual appeal but also captures the captivating atmosphere of the city itself.

Furthermore, I also designed a logo and brand identity for the the current properties that are on My Stay Melbourne. For Grosvenor 3121, the logo seamlessly merges the heritage building with architectural drawings, highlighting its historical significance and conveying a sense of prominence. It captures the attention of those who appreciate its heritage and cultural value, serving as a visual representation of the building's rich history in Melbourne.

Hoddle Cornerstone represents the premium apartments within Grosvenor 3121, and its logo ingeniously transforms the letter "E" into an abstract icon that symbolises the building's eight-apartment layout and architectural structure. Featuring the subtle incorporation of the letters "H" and "C" within three semi-circles, symbolising the three premium apartments, these design elements create a visually compelling and meaningful representation of Hoddle Cornerstone and its unique features.

In the case of Flinders Landmark Suite, the logo embodies the prime location and interior aesthetics. It features a top-view map of Melbourne CBD with a highlighted circle indicating the suite's precise location, emphasising its central position and proximity to iconic landmarks. Vibrant orange colours not only represent the interior palette but also add energy and visual appeal, capturing the allure of the suite and showcasing its ideal location.

For the better part of a decade, we have engaged a number of people and companies to develop the image for our holiday rental business.  Each time they have struggled to understand our ideas, convert our vision and we have been left disappointed.  That was until we met Sam.  

 

Sam’s ability to understand and grasp our vision was profound.  The concepts developed were of a level we had previously only imaged.  The detail in the development of the concepts and his ability to communicate them were highly developed and went beyond even our grandest of dreams.  

 

It is clear that Sam has as genuine passion for what he does, that combines with an ability that is rarely experienced.
